So fussy or picky as it may sound! Gazing at the plate you serve gives you spasms– is it just too much for your little one, will it be liked or finished soon or is it gonna end up in my tummy with a messy table and you cleaning it up all. Just too much for your every day dose!
Perhaps you may wonder if it is right to feed your child about a quarter of what you can eat each day. That’s right. Just a complete diet with all the vitamins and minerals is all your little one needs to grow and be active.Try giving the following any time during the day, even if it means giving a piece of chocolate or some peanut butter (barring an allergy) one time along with your servings:
- 2-3 servings of any grains
- 1-2 servings of fruits
- 2-3 servings of vegetables
- 1 glass of milk
- 2 servings of protein such as lentils, fish, poultry, meat or tofu: 2 servings
- 2 servings of Legumes, dried beans or peas: 2 servings
*Don’t get alarmed if anything is missed by a day or two. Cheer up as long as they are active and keep smiling at you.
